Nolan Group supply a range of top quality commercial and industrial textiles nationwide.

Project Requirements

  1. Seeing a colour or an image of a textile is quite limiting when trying to decide on how you will renovate a large building so the Nolan Group decided they would like to have a special functionality on the site which enabled users to select an environment like a school or business setting which could then have all the different styles and colours applied.
  2. The previous website only had catalogues using PDFs. This system limited the user to view products after downloading each PDF to see a limited range of textile samples. There were images showing several different colours and types in use such as on boats, cafes and schools.
  3. Nolan Group has a lot of products so they’re aware that it may become a little overwhelming for visitors to retain all the needed information per product when browsing. Being able to compare products was always going to be a bonus online so they requested any suggestions here.
  4. The Nolan Group highlighted that being found online and being viewed on phones were two new important functions for their new website. They saw the value in keeping up to date with the way people find and view websites today.

Project Solutions

  1. The design centre build included selecting the type of textile, the environment, and make and finally the colour. All of these elements then display an example image tailored to the user’s interest. The ability to save, email and print this image is also included with user friendly icons. Product details and a request a sample function are also included here.
  2. Using a colour chart with main feature image enables visitors to see each textile or carpet up large quickly, easily and without having to download anything. Other features on the product pages include a request a sample form, link to the design centre which allows you to see the different colours in various animated environments and the old PDF downloads for those previous customers who liked the old way.
  3. We suggested a Product Comparison tool which enables visitors to mark products and then compare on one page all the specifications rather than having to remember everything before making a decision.
  4. We optimized the site for Search Engine Optimisation so all pages and products could be found easily on searches like Google’s search engine. The site needed to be upgraded to adjust to mobile devices like phones and tablets too. This enables all visitors to have a positive and easy navigation through the entire site no matter where or how they are viewing the pages.
